We guarantee that solid, supported portions of our countertops will not crack. Exceptions are:
- narrow strips in front of and behind sinks and cooktops
- unsupported overhangs
- thin backsplashes
- installations not performed by us
- outdoor installations after one year
- cracking due to shifting or collapse of cabinetry or flooring
- micro-cracking or crazing: this is a mesh-like pattern of tiny cracks which shows up only when unsealed concrete is wetted. As the concrete is repeatedly touched, traces of oil and dirt from people’s hands may make these cracks permanently visible. These cracks are not structural; they are created as soon as the concrete solidifies, and they are present in all gravel-based concrete. Far from considering this to be a defect, we find it attractive.
If, however, one of the situations listed above does occur, please let us know, and we will do our best to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution.
